The Ralph and The Rhythm Hounds Modern Blues & Blues Rock band has been performing since 2003. Our first album, “Mesmerized,” was released in 2016 and the band recently released its first two-song EP in April of 2022, Poor Man’s Prayer and Hole In My Heart. Both projects are streaming on Spotify, iTunes, and other streaming sites.
The band is very happy that Spotify has created a Ralph and The Rhythm Hounds Playlist you can listen to!
Band members are band Frontman – vocalist guitarist Noah Cave, vocalist/guitarist Ralph Cave, drummer John Griffin, and bassist David "Tiny" Enderle, with guest performances by keyboardist Chris Bentley.
As a result of being awarded 1st place in the 2019 Dayton Blues Challenge, and the 2021 Cincy Blues Challenge, the band was awarded the right to perform in the 2020 and 2022 International Blues Challenges in Memphis, TN. Their performances during the blues challenges led to them becoming a blues festival headliner in 2020 and 2022.
The band continues to perform modern blues at festivals and various Cincinnati area venues while continuing to record and release original modern blues music. Look for the band performing at one of your favorite music venues in the Greater Cincinnati Area!

Ralph is the Cave family's third generation blues guitarist.
He embodies the traditional classic blues styles of Robert Johnson, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker the Three Kings -BB, Albert, and Freddie. As well as, the modern blues and blues rock styles of Gary Clark Jr., Stevie Ray Vaughan, Hendrix and many other blues artists.
Noah Cave is a Cave family fourth generation blues guitarist. (Emmanuel, Ralph, Ralph II, Noah).
Noah has an explosive "Contemporary Modern Blues" musical style, deeply rooted in the artist phrasing of musicians Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King, Albert King, Freddie King, Gary Moore, Peter Green, Johnny Winter and many other modern blues and blues rock musician’s styles.
Growing up in Chicago, John started drumming in the 4th grade.
John Griffin’s drumming influences span musical genres from Buddy Rich of the Tommy Dorsey Big Band (jazz) and Carter Beauford of the Dave Mathews Band (rock) to Steve Gadd and Keith Carlock of Steely Dan (rock, jazz, traditional pop, R&B, and blues). John has played with several bands in the local Cincinnati music scene such as Rare Form, Tempted Souls, and now Ralph and The Rhythm Hounds.
David "Tiny" Enderle was always drawn to the power of Bass.
Coming from a musical family, Tiny was pushed toward guitar. Even as a child those low frequencies and Blues/Funk rhythms kept calling. He snuck out of the house and got his first bass at 13. Tiny focuses on the stylings of Donald "Duck" Dunn, Lisa Mann, Meshell Ndegeocello, Bootsy Collins, Leland Sklar and Jack Bruce.
