 Ralph and The Rhythm Hounds 

is an explosive Cincinnati Blues Rock band that has performed since 2003. Noah Cave is a gifted (phenom) guitarist who started his live performances with the band at age 11. He is excited to be on stage with gifted musicians like Keyboardist Christopher Bentley who has gotten to work with or open the stage for legends like Otis Williams, DJ Fontana, ZZ Top, and REO Speedwagon. Christopher has also performed with Eliza Neals and The Summit.  Michelle Branstetter is a longtime Gospel / Country / Soul vocalist and keyboardist. She has performed and recorded with a number of artists in all these genres over many years. 

Drummer Calvin Todd has performed with H-Bomb Ferguson and many other artist! He is a founding member of Ralph and The Rhythm Hounds. 

 Guitarist Ralph Cave and Bassist James Tucker (JScarr) are long-time performers in the Greater Cincinnati Metropolitan Area.  The band writes and then records songs at Ambient Studios in Cincinnati, OH. The first album was released in 2016. The band is recording it's second album, soon to be released. The first album is streaming well on Spotify and Jango.com. The band performs their original songs as well as covers by various blues artist like: Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Gary Clark Junior, Black Crowes, Peter Green, Robert Cray, Freddie King, Allman Brothers, Buddy Guy. etc...

Our song Poor Man's Prayer was a semi-finalist in the 2024 International Songwriting Competition (ISC). Ralph and the Rhythm Hounds took first place in the 2021 Cincy Blues Challenge and the  2019 Dayton Blues Challenge! We represented Cincinnati at the 2022 Memphis International Blues Challenge and the 2021 Memphis International Blues Challenge.
